St. James Lutheran Church - Harper
Welcome to St. James Lutheran Church
St. James is located on the corner of Hwy 290 and Fourth Street in Harper. Bible
study classes for all ages begin at 9:30 a.m. Church services led by Minister Scott
Hofmann begin at 10:30 a.m.  Holy communion is celebrated on first and third
Sundays.

We have a wonderful education program for our kinder through seventh graders. It
is called Bible Adventures. The classes are held in our beautifully redone Education
Building.  We also have activities for pre-K held in the Noah's Ark room of our
Parish Hall. Eighth through Twelfth grade are invited to be CSIs (Christian Scripture
Investigators) in a class all their own. There are monthly youth events for Jr. and Sr.
High students of the community such as movie night, game night, lock-ins, and
camp-outs. Check our web calendar for dates and events.
Our youth attend exciting programs such as a Colorado ski trip during Spring break
and camp opportunities offered by Cross Trails Ministry. Our youth also participate
in the Lutheran Fall Festival in Fredericksburg where they have been three time chili
cook off winners. In addition they host summer volleyball games for all area youth.

In our community we are very blessed to have MEALS ON WHEELS and volunteers
to deliver the meals.  On Monday 1 hot meal and one frozen meal, milk, juice, and
bread is delivered.  On Wednesday 1 hot meal, 2 frozen meals, milk and juice are
delivered.  This is not a low income program rather it is based on physical needs.  A
person may not be able to shop or prepare their meals and this meal greatly assists
them.  It is a program more need to take advantage of.  If you are able and want to
you may pay for the meals but if not no charge is made.  For more information
contact:  Janice Spaeth  864-4357 or Jeanette Bode 864-4429

Please join us on Sunday. We look forward to seeing you!
